Thomas Millar has worked in cybersecurity roles for most of his professional career and is heading into a second year working with the TrustedSec IR team, with 20 years of system security and digital forensics experience. His areas of focus have been Network Intrusion and Incident Response. Prior to TrustedSec, Thomas also worked as an Incident Response consultant for RSA NetWitness and IBM Emergency Response Services. Portions of Thomas’s work in the field has been published in two (2) IBM X-Force Threat Intelligence Quarterly journal articles and he was also a contributing author to the Cisco Router and Switch Forensics book put out by Syngress Publishing. Additionally, Thomas writes blogs articles on DFIR subjects including business email compromise (BEC) and Linux analysis matters. In his free time in Southern California, Thomas spend it outdoors whenever possible, and enjoys running, camping, and he an avid participant in amateur radiosport actities such as contests and Parks on the Air (POTA).
