Peter has been an Officer with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) since 2002. In November 2011, Peter had the honor of becoming a member of the CHP's Computer Crimes Investigation Unit as a digital forensic analyst and investigator. During his time with the unit, he was responsible for investigating computer crimes against the State of California ranging from network intrusions against State agencies to child exploitation cases. He also conducted digital forensics analysis for the CHP, Federal agencies, and other State agencies that fell within the CHP's jurisdiction. On October 2022, Peter retired from the CHP after 20 years of service and is currently working as a Digital Forensic Examiner for an agency of the U.S. Federal Government. Peter currently holds computer forensic certifications through the California Department of Justice and other proprietary digital forensic software companies. As well as GIAC certifications from the SANS Institute.
