Prior to his current role as the Vice President of Operations at Digital Mountain, Inc., Mike has over 22 years of federal law enforcement experience at the FBI where he specialized in cyber investigations and digital forensics operations. During his career, Mike led the FBI's Silicon Valley Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory with responsibility for day-to-day operations over hundreds of law enforcement investigations per year. He also investigated advanced persistent threat actors in high-stakes cyber investigations. Mike attended hundreds of hours of training in digital forensics and cyber from the FBI, SANS Institute, and Mandiant, and held multiple FBI authorizations and industry certifications to include SANS/GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) and Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), all while assisting investigators in the collection and processing of digital evidence from various platforms. He also led sophisticated sensitive projects leaning heavily on his technical systems development experience. Prior to the FBI, Mike worked in systems development for a consulting firm specializing in Fortune 500 financial services clients and as a CPA with a Big Four accounting firm in assurance advisory and IT risk services. He holds an active CPA license from New Jersey, a certificate in client-server development from the Chubb Institute, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Montclair State University.
