Mark Gramajo is a Senior Security Researcher and incident response team lead at Microsoft IR. With deep expertise in digital forensics and threat hunting, Mark plays a critical role in advancing Microsoft IR’s mission to defend digital environments against sophisticated threats and help customers build cyber resilience. He leads global incident response efforts, delivering both onsite and remote support for high-impact security breaches and proactive investigations. Mark began his cybersecurity career supporting the U.S. Navy as a contractor and later transitioned into civilian roles spanning information assurance, digital forensics, and quality assurance. He led QA operations in an ANAB-accredited digital forensics lab, ensuring the integrity and reliability of forensic processes. He holds a Master of Science in Digital Forensics from the University of Central Florida and maintains several industry-recognized certifications, including GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), ISFCE Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA SecurityX.
