After earning her Master's in the Management of Criminal Intelligence in 2018, Colette Bridgewater joined the Crime Strategies Unit at the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office, where she began working in the field of digital evidence. In 2021, she joined the Albuquerque Police Department at the inception of the Digital Intelligence Team (DIT) with two other examiners. The all-civilian unit got its first supervisor, Kate, in March of 2023 and Colette was promoted to be the second supervisor in June 2024. The unit is now composed of 11 forensic examiners, two administrators, and two supervisors. The two supervisors, Colette and Kate, have testified over 30 times as an expert witness.

Sessions
