Dr. Chris M. Hymel is an inventor, researcher, and technology executive whose work spans cybersecurity, signal processing, biomedical sciences, and advanced sensing systems. He serves as Principal Investigator and Chief Technology Officer for Signal Advance, Inc., where he leads the development of Analog Guard®, a physical-layer mixed-signal security architecture focused on data protection, authenticity assessment, and trust assurance. Dr. Hymel holds B.S. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. His career includes engineering and research positions in industrial control systems, medical research, and advanced technology development. He is the inventor of numerous issued and pending patents and has authored technical publications on signal processing, sensing technologies, and cybersecurity-related innovations, including work featured by IEEE. His honors include Texas Inventor of the Year, Oklahoma Innovator of the Year, and the Goradia Innovation Prize. His current research focuses on physical-layer trust, authenticity sensing, and cybersecurity technologies for AI-enabled and cyber-physical systems.
