Chris Gray is a Digital Analyst for the Denver District Attorney's Office and the former Director of the Analytic Services Bureau for the Denver Police Department. Chris' law enforcement career began with the Denver Police Department, where he utilized data to analyze pattern crimes, including robberies, sex crimes, and assaults. In 2013, he expanded these data-driven methods to assist in homicide investigations in Denver. In 2019, Chris transitioned to the Denver District Attorney's Office, where he specializes in digital device extractions and analysis. He works with hardware and cloud data to provide critical investigative and prosecutorial insights derived from digital devices, search warrant returns, and open-source intelligence. Over his 15-year career, Chris has analyzed digital evidence for investigations involving homicide, robbery, human trafficking, gang crime, sex crimes, and more. He has successfully testified numerous times at trial and has delivered training and guidance to prosecutors, public defenders, detectives, investigators, analysts, and agency leadership across the United States. Chris holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
