Andre Champagne is a digital forensics professional with more than three decades of experience spanning digital forensics, investigations, and information technology. Beginning his public sector career with a sheriff's office in the mid-1990s, Andre has worked across roles involving forensic operations, investigations, IT leadership, and laboratory management. He currently supervises the Minnesota IT Services Digital Forensics Laboratory (MDFL), supporting government investigations, forensic operations, e-discovery initiatives, and laboratory management functions. Andre has presented on topics related to digital forensics, e-discovery, and forensic laboratory operations. His work focuses on building structured, defensible investigative processes that integrate technical analysis, documentation, communication, and legal awareness throughout the investigative lifecycle. He is the developer of the Digital Forensics Reference Model (DFRM), a lifecycle-based framework designed to support consistent and defensible digital forensic investigations from authorization through testimony.
