Alan Abbey leads Finch, Thornton & Baird, LLP's efforts in all matters pertaining to eDiscovery. Alan holds the Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) certification, awarded by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS). He holds advanced Nextpoint and Brainspace certifications, and he founded the firm's eDiscovery practice 7 years ago. Alan's skillset encompasses the following areas: - Collaboration with firm legal teams to develop and implement eDiscovery strategies for complex construction and employment litigation matters. This includes case planning, data identification and preservation, collection, processing, ESI protocols, and production specifications. - Administering eDiscovery platforms and attorney training. - Leveraging data analytics and AI to improve efficiency and case outcomes in litigation. - Communicating with clients on data retention and collection best practices.
