Closing the Signal Trust Gap: Physical-Layer Authenticity for AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Forensics
Abstract Proposal: As AI-generated content, synthetic media, and sensor spoofing become increasingly sophisticated, determining whether information is authentic has become a growing challenge. This presentation explores the emerging “Signal Trust Gap”—the difference between authenticated information and authentic information—and examines how acquisition-derived authenticity assessment may provide additional trust indicators beyond traditional authentication, integrity, and provenance mechanisms.
