Abstract Proposal: The case study follows a child exploitation investigation from a mother's discovery of explicit messages to a 22.5-year federal conviction. Attendees will learn how digital forensics, mobile device extraction, federal collaboration, and trauma-informed practices strengthened the case while keeping the victim central. Objectives: 1. Understand how digital forensics transforms a local investigation into a federal case. 2. Identify key digital indicators of grooming and psychological control. 3. Examine multi-agency collaboration and the role of humility in complex investigations.
