From Cell Phone to Courtroom: The Digital Evidence that Led to a 22 year Federal Conviction
Abstract Proposal: The case study follows a child exploitation investigation from a mother's discovery of explicit messages to a 22.5-year federal conviction. Attendees will learn how digital forensics, mobile device extraction, federal collaboration, and trauma-informed practices strengthened the case while keeping the victim central.
