Abstract Proposal: This presentation walks through the lifecycle of a digital forensic investigation from authorization and scoping through analysis, reporting, presentation, and testimony using the Digital Forensics Reference Model (DFRM) as a guide. Rather than focusing on specific tools or artifacts, the session examines investigative planning, documentation, communication, legal awareness, and forensic defensibility using real-world examples and case studies. Attendees will learn structured investigative methodology, reporting considerations, and operational concepts that impact forensic credibility.
