Denise Kinsey, Ph.D, CISSP, C|CISO, has been in cybersecurity for over 20 years. She has worked in IT and OT industries that include manufacturing, nuclear and other energy. She has aided law enforcement and worked as a government contractor. As an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, Dr. Kinsey regularly works with local businesses and incorporates real-world problems and solutions into her curriculum. Dr. Kinsey is co-author of Linux Essentials for Cybersecurity (Pearson, 2018) and several other titles in cybersecurity and encouraging women and minorities to enter the field.
