COVID-19 Event Updates

We would like to thank the Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference community for the support and patience these last few weeks as we continued to monitor the COVID-19 developments.

While we had remained hopeful that a safe and successful event could take place in September, event management has made the decision to postpone the 2020 show until June 2021. We feel this decision is best given the recent increases in positive cases in Myrtle Beach and various other hot spots, extended border closures, and the health and safety of all of our event participants.

All paid attendee registrations and sponsor booths for September 2020, will automatically transfer to the 2021 Myrtle Beach event, scheduled June 6-9 at the Marriott Grande Dunes. All hotel reservations within the conference block for the September 2020 dates will automatically be cancelled.

We thank you for supporting Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference and look forward to welcoming our extended Techno family back to South Carolina next year.

In the meantime, for questions please feel free to contact

Techno Security is looking forward to our new dates, September 14-17 at the Marriott Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach.

As we look forward to the industry coming together, we want to reassure and reconfirm that our top priority is the health and safety of our attendees, sponsors, staff and vendors. We remain confident in proceeding with the Myrtle Beach event this Fall, and will continue to monitor and be flexible and ready to make any adjustments to the event, taking into account the recommendations of federal, state and local governments and health authorities.

Onsite this year, expect to see some changes to ensure we follow appropriate health and safety guidelines. The staff and management of the Marriott at Grande Dunes is working in partnership with Event Management to ensure a safe and successful conference for our cybersecurity & digital forensics community. Marriott International has already implemented significant new cleaning protocols and shared with us their Commitment to Clean – At a Glance.

As the event draws nearer, and as the details of what may be necessary are established, we will update the Techno community with specifics. For now, below are some items to share:

  • Additional cleaning and sanitation procedures will be implemented
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the property
  • Masks and gloves will be available for all participants
  • Conference schedule and room setups are being evaluated to allow for more spacing and disinfection protocols between sessions

Until the next update, please stay safe and well, and continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended standard preventive actions to stay healthy and help prevent the spread of illness.

For questions between updates, please feel free to contact

Postponement Notice: Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference 2020, Myrtle Beach
Thank you for your understanding and patience while our Event Management team worked through a number of contingencies for the 2020 edition as the COVID-19 situation continues to develop. During this process, we have heard clearly from attendees and sponsors alike that Myrtle Beach is an annual event critical to their businesses.
Due to the developments of the global health situation, the conference originally scheduled for May 31 – June 3, will now take place Monday, September 14 – Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Marriott Resort at Grande Dunes. As you might imagine, there is considerable demand for the second half of the year, and we are excited to have secured dates.
All attendee registrations and hotel reservations will be automatically transferred over to the new event dates. Please do not contact the hotel directly as this will be automatic, and please be patient while we work through these processes over the next several days.
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy and know our thoughts are with each member of the extended Techno family.

As previously communicated, the health and safety of our staff, attendees, and sponsors is our top priority. With the current COVID-19 developments, increased need for extended social distancing, and federal state and local directives becoming more restrictive, it is becoming more and more likely that we will not be able to proceed with the conference as we had hoped, May 31-June 3.

Our Event Management Team continues to evaluate an array of potential contingencies, including the postponement of the event until a later date this year. We ask that you please be patient while we work through the possible scenarios. Know that we will be in touch in the coming days with more details and action plan.

We have heard from many of you that Techno Myrtle Beach is the most important industry event of the year and we sincerely look forward to delivering the opportunity to come together, once these uncertain times allow a return to “business as usual”.
