Raymond “Ray” Rivard currently serves as Senior Director for the Federal Government Sector for Prevail.ai. In his role, he devises and promotes solutions for government agencies, government contractors, and law firms, utilizing Prevail's artificial intelligence (AI) tools and processes.  Prior to his current role, Ray was the Senior Information Technology Specialist for the eDiscovery Group within the Legal Information Technology Unit for the FDIC’s Legal Division. His primary specialties included devising and integrating best practices in failed bank data collection, preservation, authentication, processing, review, analytics, and production. Other responsibilities at the FDIC included e-discovery policy formulation and implementation, enterprise systems analysis, technology tool review and selection, technical monitor roles on multiple hundred million dollar government contracts, predictive coding/technology-assisted-review, legal technical case matter analysis, and discovery-related project management. Mr. Rivard has provided technical expert testimony in civil and criminal court hearings across the United States; filed declarations and affidavits as an expert in numerous federal courts; participated in meet & confer conferences with opposing parties in failed bank litigation matters; and revised and modified ESI protocols, protective orders, and joint discovery plans. In 2019, Mr. Rivard was a member of the litigation team that received the FDIC’s Douglas H. Jones Legal Excellence Award for “excellence and professionalism in providing exceptional legal counsel.” Mr. Rivard was also the co-chair of the Federal E-Discovery Working Group (FEDWG) intra-government e-discovery conference, providing advanced education and training to thousands of federal e-discovery practitioners across over 110 federal agencies.
