Nazar Akrami is a Professor of Psychology at Uppsala University, specializing in personality and social psychology. His research focuses on attitudes, stereotyping and prejudice, personality assessment, and processes related to extremism and radicalization. In recent years, he has led multidisciplinary projects on machine learning models for text-based personality assessment, hate speech detection, suicide risk prediction, and digital risk assessment. His most recent project advances methods for insider threat assessment. Akrami co-founded Mind Intelligence Lab, where he drives research at the intersection of psychology, data science, and technology. With over 60 publications in leading psychology and personality science journals, his work contributes to advancing psychological theory and its application in emerging research fields. He actively collaborates with academic and governmental partners to advance research in digital risk assessment and behavioral analysis.
