Dr. Melissa Maranville, PhD, is a forensic investigative consultant, expert witness, and researcher specializing in child sexual exploitation and human trafficking. She is the Founder and CEO of DeVille & Associates LLC and DeVille Academy, where she trains law enforcement agencies nationwide in OSINT, dark web, and cryptocurrency investigations, three critical fronts in identifying, tracking, and disrupting digital child exploitation. Her work focuses on investigating and identifying systemic failures in protecting children, including examining why systems intended to protect the public, such as sex offender registries, often fail to protect victims. Her research is informed by law enforcement perspectives and real-world case analysis, with additional expertise in online grooming and sex predator behavior.
