Jim Keegan has progressively moved through various security positions throughout his career, from a rifleman in Northern Iraq (assigned to the Berlin Brigade), to a Squad Leader in the 82nd Airborne Division and on to corporate America. Jim made the transition from active duty to cyber security while assigned to the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and later the Missile Defense Agency as an Information System Security Officer. Jim's work has further transitioned to the financial world, where he holds CISSP and Q/EH certifications and is now the Vice President of Information Security for a Financial Firm.

Jim's passions are to 1) engage with the security community and business leaders, to understand their needs and help provide an actionable risk-based approach to securing their resources, freeing them to make sound business decisions based on understanding applicable risk; and 2) to build a blue team that gets more purple every day.
