Erik S Arnold. – Mr. Arnold focuses on implementing search and big data projects in the cloud, with a specialty in the elastic stack of products. Mr. Arnold uses a product management background to deliver solutions projects via agile approaches with a focus on cloud-first and open source technology solutions. Mr. Arnold currently leads the open data initiatives at the International Trade Administration and the APIs found at Developer.trade.gov are access one million times a day by US businesses. Mr. Arnold has also advised on the Copyright Office to bring a product-focused approach for the modernization of a new Enterprise Copyright System (ECS). He led the development efforts of the Search.gov service program that offers free search services to over two thousand government web sites. He also provides strategic consulting and product roadmaps opening data at the International Trade Administration. Prior to government consulting Mr. Arnold learned his software development techniques in Silicon Valley where he worked at Lycos, NBI, and several other startups. Mr. Arnold has a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
