Mr. Johnson has testified as an expert witness in seven states and the District of Columbia in areas of computer security, intrusion, forensic analysis, networking and Internet Protocol (IP) spoofing. He has testified before the California State Legislature in Sacramento concerning the establishment of a statewide computer crime policy. He designed developed and taught three of the FBIs' then required courses in computer crime and intrusion. He has designed computer system applications for the FBI and other government organizations.

Mr. Johnson has implemented advanced technologies and techniques, which were taught at the FBI National Academy. He has lectured on technology, systems networking, child protection and security matters for various government agencies, colleges, universities and private forums. While in the FBI, Mr. Johnson received over twenty FBI letters of commendation and achievement awards. He also received the United States Attorney's Achievement Award for his work in computer crime investigations and courtroom testimony. Government Computer News magazine featured him in its August 3, 1992 issue for his use of computer forensics during a 1988 kidnap murder investigation. His discovery and extraction of critical evidence from a computer system prior to the advent of computer investigative protocols and procedures and subsequent expert witness testimony resulted in a murder conviction. He held TS/SCI security clearances.

Mr. Johnson is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association, Association of Former Special Agents of the FBI, National Sheriffs' Association (NSA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) and the South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators (SCALI). He was appointed to the Advisory Board of Keiser University on September 12th of this year. Keiser is located in Fort Myers Florida with campuses throughout the State of Florida serving a population of 20,000 students. Mr. Johnson will serve in an advisory capacity in the University's Information Technology and Cyber Forensics programs.

The Court TV channel featured him in an episode titled the “Stake Out”. This episode, which received national coverage, highlighted the use of several forensic technologies along with the introduction of the term, “computer forensic techniques” for the first time in American courtrooms. This program continues to air on several channels. His investigative work is now referenced in the textbook titled “Guide to Computer Forensics and Investigations Second Edition by authors Nelson, Phillips, Enfinger and Steuart.
