2025 Techno East Post Event Report
DIGITAL FORENSICS AND CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE MARKS 26 YEARS OF INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
WILMINGTON, NC – July 7, 2025 – The Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference successfully concluded its 26th edition of the flagship East event earlier this month, following three dynamic days of education, networking, and exhibits.
Returning to Wilmington for the fourth year, Techno East marked its anniversary edition with several exciting additions, including a Capture the Flag competition, sponsored by Leahy Center for Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity at Champlain College and Cyber 5W, a Scavenger Hunt in the exhibit hall, and hands-on workshops.
“We’ve loved our time in Wilmington, but based on attendee and sponsor feedback, our audience really wanted to return to our longtime home in Myrtle Beach in 2026—it’s where so much of our community built lasting memories,” said Jennifer Salvadori, Event Director of Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference.
The conference launched with a standing-room-only keynote, "Operation Shamrock: Disrupting Transnational Crime and Protecting Victims," presented by Erin West, Founder of Operation Shamrock.
Over the three-day event, attendees chose from 117 sessions led by 126 industry experts, spanning key focus areas including Cybersecurity, eDiscovery, Forensics and Investigations. The program also featured four sponsored tracks from Titanium sponsors: Cellebrite, Magnet Forensics, MSAB, and Oxygen Forensics, alongside sponsor product demos.
Artificial Intelligence dominated the conversation again this year, while other high-interest sessions explored Cryptocurrency Investigations, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Mobile Forensics, and ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) case studies.
Attendees also benefited from three intensive 3-hour workshops offering hands-on training in AES and RSA encryption techniques, LEAPP Suite of open-source forensic tools and Sysdiagnose logs 101
The event welcomed 729 verified industry professionals, with over 37% attending for the first time. Participants represented 40 states, the District of Columbia, and 32 countries, underscoring Techno’s global reach.

TESTIMONIALS:
The Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference provides a place for people involved in the various aspects of Digital Forensics with a place to come network and share the knowledge that they have gained. It is great for beginners up to seasoned veterans. I always learn something new and almost always meet someone that I have either only talked with in email or on a board.
Det. Sam Riedel, Digital Forensic Examiner, North Charleston Police Department
Techno Security East continues to raise the bar bringing together an incredible mix of thought leaders, investigators, and technologists who are shaping the future of digital forensics, eDiscovery, and cybersecurity. The sessions were engaging, the conversations were real, and the connections made were invaluable.
Monica S. Harris, Founder & Principal Consultant, Consult Harris Collective
2025 was my first Techno Security attendance and I hope it won't be my last. The seminars are quick enough to keep my attention but contain so much great information that I walk away knowing more than when I entered the classroom. The presentations seem to be focused on quality and not quantity (duration). It was also a great opportunity to meet some of the digital forensic "legends" in person and network with other like-minded professionals across the country. There is no other conference like this one and is a "must go" for anyone in the industry!
Sophie Beman, Detective, Boulder County Sheriff's Office
Techno Security East is the must attend event in the Digital Forensics market! We look forward to attending every year to learn, network and connect about this ever-changing landscape of Digital Forensics!
Christie Nickel, Exterro
As always, Techno Security delivered a great combination of conversations with current customers and potential new users.
John Graham, Atola Technology
Jennifer and her team do a great job ensuring Techno Security's success for users and vendors. We meet with many new and potential users, which is a great way to see what the rest of the digital community focuses on for the year. We will definitely be back in Myrtle Beach and can't wait to see what happens next.
